She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilary Young and Vencintia Young (Serroul); her husband William; her sons, Billy and Brian; her granddaughter Candace Melbourne; her children-in-law, Michael Watson and Carol Lewis (Greene); and her sisters, Mary, Ethel, Millie and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Linda (Lloyd Melbourne), Theresa (James Todd), Helen (Barry Fraser), Kathy, Chrissy (Rob Jack), Brenda, Laurie (Glen Finney), Bobby (Beth), Jim (Jane), Danny (Mona), David (Doreen) and Doug (Margaret); her daughter-in-law Joan Lewis; and her siblings, Brenda MacMullin, Kaye Gale, Theresa Tobin, Harry Young, Pat Young and Fred Young. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Masks are mandatory and social distancing must be followed when visiting the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the food bank, the Cove Guest Home or the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County (Friends for Hospice Campaign).
