He was predeceased by: his parent Chalmers Johnston; his sister Christina Marie MacIntyre; and his grandmother Angeline MacIntyre. He is survived by: his mother Angeline Johnston (MacIntyre); his close friend Gloria Boutilier; his brothers, John George Johnston (Kelly), Georges River and Freddie MacIntyre; his siblings' children, Johnny and Julia; and his half-siblings, Chalene Sajatovich (Walter), Mildred, June, Joyce, Sid and Gerald.
