He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cox and Rose Cox (Tobin); his wife Beverley (Martin); and his siblings, Catherine Ann MacKenzie Cox, Kenny Cox, Rosemary "Roey" Clarke, Barbara Kernick and Joseph "JoJo" Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Jonathan (Karen) and Cathy MacMullin (Chris); his grandchildren, Gavin, Sam MacMullin, Marissa, Evan and Cowan Cox; his sisters, Dorothy Blackadar (David), Judy Cox, Viola Smith (Roy) and Mary Hirtle (Jim); his goddaughter Shauna Hepworth; and his brother-in-law Donald Martin of Port Alberni, B. C.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
