Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Justin MacDonald (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 34, on May 26, 2025. He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth MacDonald and Mary Margaret "Peggy" MacDonald (Trainor); his siblings, Laura, Destiny MacDonald, Alyssa DiMarco, George and Zander MacDonald; his aunts and uncles, Gordon MacDonald (Rhonda), Gerard MacDonald (Brenda), Colin MacDonald (Yvonne), Pius Trainor (Christine), T. J. Trainor, Janet Geeggie, Christine Hines (Chris), Brenda MacMullin (Brian), Bernadine Trainor (Kim Littlemore), Norma Barter, Betty Ann Hines (Dean), Alana Trainor (Tony) and Justine O'Grady (Mike); his close friends, Jackie MacNeil and Chelsey Slade; and his pet Hannibal. He is also survived by many friends and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. J. Dooley Funeral Home (107 Pleasant St, North Sydney, NS B2A1L9). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (Archibald Ave, North Sydney, NS B2A3M4). During Covid he organized a trip that changed many lives and gave memories of a lifetime, taking just over sixty people to Toronto with disabilities, buddies, coaches and more.
