He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Long and Lucy Long (Collier); his former wife Blanche; and his wife Judith. He is survived by: his son Bill Long (Tanya); his siblings, Garfield Long (Louise), Gerald Long (Sharon), George Long (Elaine), Simon Long (Mary), Bernard Long (Cecilia), Paul Long, Kenny Long (Susan), Mary Campbell (Alex), Phyillis Clarke (Steven), Carrie Boutlilier, Christine Devoe (Melvin), Betty Burton (Sheldon) and Louise Donnelly (Al); his grandsons, Gerald William Long and Joshua Lawrence Long; his great grandchildren, Harrison and Lennon; his siblings, Eric Long, Roseleen Collier and Mabel Scott; his siblings-in-law, Glenda, Jane Long, Tom Boutlilier, Conrad Scott and Tom Collier; and his nephew Chad Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
