Sadie Burt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sadie Burt (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 23, 2018 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rebecca Burton (Bond) and Thomas Burton; her husband George S. Burt; her siblings, Emily Melloy, Janie Piercey, Evelyn Rodgers, Dora Dominix, Elsie Munster, James Burton, Fred Burton, Tom Burton and Calvin Burton; and her son-in-law Michael Elliott.

She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Schaller (Doug), Sydney Forks, Margaret Cowan (Don), George Burt (Donna), Susan Rahey (Fred) and Tom Burt; her daughter-in-law Margaret; her grandchildren, Christine Elliott, Ian Cowan, Colin Cowan, Vaughn, Leah, Lina Burt, Rebecca Rahey, Stephen Rahey, Michael, Daniel and Katherine Burt; her great grandchildren, Gemma, Ocean, Evan, Ella, Kinsley and Kaelyn; her sister Vera Bruce; her brother-in-law Eddie Bruce; and her niece Janie Riggs.

Memorial donations may be made to St. John Anglican Church Fund or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
