It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Johnston (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 30, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ronald, Percy, William, Marie (Johnny Steele), Queenie (Ron Crosby), Frances (George Hillier) and Genevieve.

He is survived by: his wife June; his grandchildren, Sherrylynn (Jeff MacKinnon), Joshua and Marley; his brother Nelson (Celesta); his sister-in-law Yvonne (Willie Johnston); and also, Sherry (Lloyd Serroul), Diane (Greg Dawe) and Jimmy (Shelley).

Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society or Hospice/Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton.
