She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McCarthy and Delilah McCarthy (Kennedy); her husband Maurice; her siblings, Catherine Penny, Martha MacNeil, Mary Lewis, Jerry, James, John, William, Charles and Patrick McCarthy; her stepfather Andrew MacDonald; her siblings, Charlie and Marie McDonald; her grandson John Usher; and her daughter-in-law Terrill.

She is survived by: her children, Maurice Dickson, June Usher (Nick), Victoria Mines, Anne Marie Dickson and Mira. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
