She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Laing (Cook) and John Laing; her former husband Gerald Edward Pottie; and her siblings, Lillian, Lorna, Lloyd and Jackie.

She is survived by: her husband Walter; her children, Tammy Pottie and Lorrie Anne Foley (Brian); her grandchildren, Alycia Pottie (Zack Thomson) and Amber; and her great grandchildren, Riley and Rory.
