He was predeceased by: his parents, John Beal and Luella Beal (Estabrooks); his wife Ruby; and his children, Eric and Barbara Ann Trueman.

He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Bonnell (Bill) of Brantford, ON and Earl Beal (Heather) of Sackville; and his son-in-law Raymond Trueman of Truemanville, NS.
