He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Collins and Elsie Collins (Mattinson); his wife Ruth Maddison; his father-in-law Murray Maddison; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Collins, Vaughn Dickie and Joe Hawes (Eva).
He is survived by: his daughter Tanya Brown (Trevor McKay); his granddaughters, Alison (Brent Fisher), Madison (Luke Little) and Kacey Brown; his great grandchild Nixon; his siblings, Phyllis Dickie Hawes, Ralph (Nancy) and Ross; his mother-in-law Evelyn Maddison; his brother-in-law Stephen (Gail); and his siblings' children, Raelynn Maddison, Daniel Maddison and Jason Dickie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
