He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Gordon and Doris Eleanor Skinner (George); his stepfather Francis Covin; his parents-in-law, Blanche and Narcisse Martell; his sisters, June Skinner, Vivian Skinner and Erma Boudreau; his siblings-in-law, Danny Marchand, Nazaire Martell, Henry Boudreau and Donna Martell; and also Gary Skinner.

He is survived by: his wife Vina of Samson's Cove; his daughter Shelley (Ryan Ferdais); his grandchildren, Isabelle and Jacob of Arichat; his sisters, Linda Covin of Arichat, Francine (Harold Mury) of West Arichat and Ann (Paul Clarke) of Sydney; and his siblings-in-law, Venard Martell, Diane Martell, Shirley Landry (Leo), Lola Marchand, Alena Clements (Tom Bell) and Sylvia Fougere (Rodney). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, his many Godchildren, and close cousins.
