He is survived by : his mother Penny (Burgie); his daughter Alyssa Porier (William); his brother Gerry (Angela Henderson); his close friend Elda Daley-MacKenzie; his nieces and nephews, April Currie (Jory), Katelynn Hughes (John Pitts), Robin Hughes and Keith Reine; his great-nephews, Andrew Currie and Benjamin Reine; and his uncle Alex Burgie.
