He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Leonard, Mary Hardie, Reg and Dolly Battist; and his cousin Troy Rushton.
He is survived by: his sons, Jesse and Brett; the mother of his children Nicole MacDonald; his parents, Gerald Battist and Marjorie Battist; his sisters, Jennifer MacLennan (Paul) and Rebecca Battist; and his nieces and nephews, Shelby, Tyler, Justin, Isolde, Ronan and Nola.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the DeCoste Performing Arts Centre (99 Water St, Pictou, NS B0K1H0).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the Jax Max Foundation or the IWK Foundation .
