He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rae and Beatrice Rae (Elliott); his grandparents, Thomas and Elizabeth Rae (Murray); his significant other Helen MacConnell; his siblings, George (Janie), William, Betty Roode (Elmer), Helen Watt (Vincent), Janet Culgin (Eugene) and Nancy Allard MacKay; David MacConnell, Rollie MacConnell and Doug MacConnell.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Danny MacKay (family: Melissa MacConnell, Janet MacKenzie, Ruth MacConnell, Robin MacConnell, Kathi MacConnell); Hazel Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; his chosen family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethel Presbyterian Church (1162 Campbell Hill Rd, Scotsburn, NS B0K1R0). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
