He was predeceased by: his brother Billy. He is survived by: his significant other Robin Barkhouse; his children, D. J., Nicholas, Daniel, Dustin (Brittany), Drew (Rachael) and Darci (Meaghan); his niece Lori-Anne; his grandsons, Layden, Noah and Wyatt; his siblings, Barbara Ann (Ira), John Alvin (Shirley) and Colleen (Bob); and his sister-in-law Edie Mae (Billy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Durham Presbyterian Church (986 NS-376 Durham, Pictou, NS B0K1H0). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Pictou Legion.
