He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Heighton and Mabel Heighton (Doyle); his daughter Nicole; his siblings, Barry and Diane; and his brothers-in-law, David and Brady.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy; Gary (Janice) and Brian (Janice). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
