He is survived by: his wife Beth MacDonald-Barnes; his siblings, Elizabeth (Eugene), Bob (Jolene) and David (Susan); his sons, Matthew and Andrew; and his stepchildren, Darryl, Frances, Troy (Leslie), Nadine (Paul) and Jodi (Richard). He is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
