He was predeceased by : his parents, John Prosper Sr. and Agnes Prosper (Nicholas); his son Christopher Prosper; his siblings, Henery, Joey, Arthur, Stan, Margret, Audry and Madeline; and his grandchildren, Terrance Priest and Chelsea Lynn Brooks.
He is survived by : his wife Barbara; his siblings, Freda, Caroline and Cyrl; his children, Steven, Walter (Greta), John Daniel, Aaron (Lindsey), Donna, Laurie, Karen, Joanne and Nancy; his godchildren, Sally Duff, Simon Prosper and Leroy Denny; and his brother Terry Prosper (Mary).
Donations in memory of John Simon Prosper can be made to the Dialysis units at St. Marthas Hospital Antigonish or Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital in Pictou.
