It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Elizabeth Worthen of Pictou, Nova Scotia, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 1, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Rexton and Corelda Georgina Isabel Clyburn (Fraser); her husband Berton Henry Worthen; her grandchildren, Faith and Evan Smith; her brothers, Gordon, Bob, Doug, Wayne and Ron; her stepsons, Bert, David and Timmy Williamson; and her siblings-in-law, Anita Clyburn (Feltmate), Howard Green and Robin MacKay.
She is survived by: her close friend James Pace; her children, Georgina (Andrew), Virgina (Darryl), Jim, Michael (Rosealee), Dennis (Bridget), Lillian (Tommy) and Bette Ann; her stepchildren, Bobby, Carolann, Debbie (Geroge) and Wanda (Jerry); her sisters, Sylvia Green, Nancy Webb (Ray) and Linda MacKay; and her sisters-in-law, Diane Perry, Betty Clyburn and Gloria Clyburn. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the P & K MacDonald Funeral Home (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Trenton Church of the Nazarene (1 Duke St, Trenton, NS B0K1X0).
