We bid farewell to Kenneth Otis Barkhouse (Pictou, Nova Scotia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 25, 2025 at the age of 82. Kenneth Otis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Barkhouse and Elsie Barkhouse (Cox); his siblings-in-law, Stuart MacDonald, Russell Crowe and Jean Stensrud; and his nephews, William MacDonald and Trevor Chayko.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon (Crowe); his children, Peggy Yakimovitch (Vance) and Jerry Barkhouse (Raeanne); his siblings, Gerry Barkhouse (Barb), Beth MacDonald Barnes (Gord), Braeshore, Bonnie Chayko (Len) and Alberta; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Crowe and Doug Crowe. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McLaren Funeral Home (246 Faulkland St, Pictou, NS B0K1H0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (105 Coleraine St, Pictou, NS B0K1H0).
