She was predeceased by : her parents, Dorothy Colquhoun (McBain) and James David Nelson; her husband Wilbert Erwin MacDonald; and her siblings, Shirley Ethel Turner and Clarence Robert Nelson.

She is survived by : her children, Shirley Neily (Keith), Anne MacDonald Martin (Paul) and Nelson (Maureen); her grandchildren, Shawn Neily (Erin Riley), Breanne Neily, Bryan MacDonald, Alex MacDonald, Dylan MacDonald (Wendy Liu), Hannah Martin and Nathan Martin (Danielle Baillie); and her great grandchild Tate Martin.
