He was predeceased by : his parents, Lena MacQuarrie (Boehk) and Archie MacQuarrie; his grandfather Neil; and his siblings, Isabelle (John Dowell) and William MacQuarrie (Billy).

He is survived by : his children, Sheena (Rob Dalton), Jacqueline (Larry Reid) and Hanna (Chris Fraser); his grandchildren, Gracie, Tyler and Harlow; his children, Gabby, Ruby, Tide, Maddi, Hudson, Jetta, Aliza and Amanda; his grandsons, Ethan and Evan; his sisters, Peggy Kontuck, Carol (Tom Horton) and Debbie (Kirk Fredericks); and his caregivers, Dawn, Kathleen, Michelle, Deanne and Jenn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
