He was predeceased by: his parents, Hartford Melanson and Jessie Melanson (Amero); his wife Dorothy (Gennette); and his siblings, Ruby, Geogina, Floyd, Ronald, Eldridge and Jim.
He is survived by: his children, Eric (Carrie), Tracey, James (Shawna) and Barton; his stepsons, Julien (Nicole) and Alain (Louise); his stepgrandchildren, Simon, Rachelle, Nicole, Cory and Aerith; his granddaughter Kira; and his siblings, Diane Balser, Clyde and Junior. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
