He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Blinn and Eva Blinn (Doucette); and his siblings, William, Louie, Gus, John, Ernie, Edward, Frank, George, Jimmy, Leon, Charlie, Fred, Helen and Evelyn.
He is survived by: his wife Judy (Thibodeau); his daughter Lisa Simpson (James); and his grandson Christian. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial donations, in Nelson's memory, may be made to the Gilbert's Cove & District Historical Society in support of the Gilbert's Cove Lighthouse.
