He was predeceased by : his parents, Simon Fraser and Viola Fraser (Burton); his siblings, George and Shirley; and his brothers-in-law, Jacob Shaw, Lawrence MacLellan and Frank Cahill.

He is survived by : his son Simon (Shelly); his siblings, Simon (Bernice) of North Sydney, Eleanor of Point Aconi, Mina of Point Aconi, Marilyn (Jim) of Point Aconi, Ginny (Pat) of Point Aconi and Judy (Ed); and his parents-in-law, Wanda and Brian McGean.

Memorial donations may be made to the NS Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
