He was predeceased by: his parents, Stan Smith and Elsie (Blowers); his brothers, David and Robert; and his father-in-law Clifford.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his daughters, Kara and Stephanie (Chad); his grandchildren, Kylen, Koen and River; his brothers, Michael (Della) and Peter (Sandra); and his half-brother Larry (Alice).
