He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold MacDonald and Ann MacDonald; and his brothers, Kevin and Terry. He is survived by: his sister Clare MacFarlane; his nephew Brandon MacFarlane (Monica); his great-niece Ava; his great-nephew Ambrose; his sisters, Mary MacDonald, Florence MacDonald and Sydney; and his uncle Wilfred MacDonald.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Green's Funeral Home (507 Bernard St, Port Hawkesbury, NS B9A2V2). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church (2120 Hwy 19, Creignish, NS B9A1B4).
