He is survived by: his wife Glenda MacLean (Auld); his children, William MacLean (Moira) of Dartmouth, NS, John MacLean (Andrea) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Paul MacLean (Lee-Ann) of Dartmouth, NS, Charles MacLean (Natalie) of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Shauna MacLean of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Eileen MacLean (David Colborne) of Pugwash, NS, Patricia MacLean (Scott MacNamara) of Port Hawkesbury, NS and Flora Gillis (Jeremy) of Bedford, NS.; his grandchildren, Hannah MacLean of Dartmouth, NS, Abigail MacLean of Dartmouth, NS, William MacLean of Dartmouth, NS, Maddie MacLean of Vancouver, BC, Brandon MacLean, Tyler MacLean, Calvin Elliott, Katie Elliott of Halifax, NS, Grace Elliott, Zachary MacLean of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Charlie MacLean of Pirate Harbour, NS, Daniel MacLean of Halifax, NS, Sarah MacNamara of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Jesse, Jayden and Noah Gillis of Bedford, NS; his great grandchild Charlotte MacLean of Pirate Harbour, NS.; and his brother Dr. Charles Bernard MacLean (Jean) of Inverness, NS. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins.
