She was predeceased by : her parents, Dan Alex and Sally Buchanan (Liddle); and her close friend John Abbott. She is survived by : her son David North Vancouver (Stephanie Fabbro); her grandchildren, Leah and Quinn; and her sisters, Dorothy (Joe March) and Joan (Mike MacEachern) of Westmount. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial Donations to honour Carol can be made to either Palliative Care at the Strait Richmond Health Care Foundation or the Pinehill Cemetery Fund, River Bennet (c/o Marie Montgomery, 1649 Hwy 312, Jersey Cove, B0C 1HO).
