It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cecilia Myrtle Whitty (Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia), who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Lawrence Whitty (Laurie); her son Robert Whitty; her parents, George Stone and Charlotte Stone (Landry); her stepgreat-granddaughter Crystal; and her siblings, Gertrude, Margaret, Herman, Russell, Florence, Daniel, Germaine, Arthur, Leo and Isabell.

She is survived by : her son Leonard Daniel; her spouse Maureen Whitty (Carter); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley Toogood) and Sandra Fraser; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lincoln and William; her sister Lorraine Rouleau; her godson Clarence Landry (Joyce); and also, Serena (Marc Rapitta), Linden (Amy Sutherland Whitty) and Holly.
