It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ian Douglas MacDonald of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 26, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Charles and Marian Grace MacDonald (Bunty); his brother Graham Charles MacDonald; his siblings-in-law, Colleen and Brian; and his friend Duncan MacMillan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Stuart (Trisha) of Elmsdale, NS, Fiona (Dave Dauphinee) of Marble Mountain, NS, Carole MacNeil (Bill) of Mabou, NS, Patricia MacQuarrie (Darrell) of Pleasant Hill, NS and Helen Windeler of Alberta. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home (724 Granville St, Port Hawkesbury, NS B9A2N8). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
