We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2026, at the age of 86, Jean Elizabeth Hatcher (Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Dolomont and Kathleen Dolomont (Murray); her husband Clayton Hatcher; her brothers, Jim, Robert, Donnie (Eileen) and Tommy; and her brothers-in-law, George Day, John Langford and Ron Colpitts.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Barlett (Mike), Angela Hatcher (Blair) and Howard Hatcher (Bonnie); her siblings, Judy Day, Marjorie Langford, Kathleen Colpitts and Mike Dolmont (Valeria); her grandchildren, Alicia (Jason), Jennifer (Matthew), Robert (Fallon), Heather (Ryan), Abigail and Joshua; her great grandchildren, Aunika, Kinzleigh, Walker and Chase; her siblings-in-law, Carol Dolomont, Monika Dolomont, Georgina Dowling, Elsie Apesteguy and Alex Hatcher; and her close friend Doris Carrigan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes (724 Granville St, Port Hawkesbury, NS B9A2N8). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the St. David's United Church (7 Old Victoria Rd, Port Hastings, NS B9A1L2). A burial was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:10 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to St. David's United Church, Strait Richmond Palliative Care or to a charity of one's choice.
