John Alexander MacIsaac Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Alexander MacIsaac of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 15, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hughie and MaryAnn MacIsaac (Bienvenue); his wife Anna Marie; his daughter Colleen McGrath; and his siblings, Alex MacIsaac, Archie MacIsaac, Roddie MacIsaac, Elizabeth MacIsaac, Sarah Ryan, Jessie MacInnis and Marie Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra MacLellan of Sydney, NS, Roddie MacIsaac (Debbie) of West Kelowna, BC, Marlene Morrison (Terry) of Cleveland and Sylvia MacDougall; his grandchildren, Gussie, Nicole MacLellan, Travis MacIsaac (Shaylee), Ali Mazzei (Ty), Nevin Morrison and Brent Morrison (Kate); and his siblings, Harold MacIsaac (Wilda), Christena Morris and Sylvia MacDougall.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes (724 Granville St, Port Hawkesbury, NS B9A2N8). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church (138 Granville St, Port Hawkesbury, NS B9A2G1). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery (138 Granville St, Port Hawkesbury, NS B9A2G1).
Memorial donations in memory of Sander may be made to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation; Lung Association of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island; Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative Care Society or a charity of your choice.
