It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Eddy McNamara of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John David and Clara McNamara (Burke); his siblings, Anne Marie McNamara and Joseph "Joe" McNamara; and his nephews, John Wesley Walker and Devon Gilbert.

He is survived by : his siblings, Noel (Marilyn) of Grand Greve, Betty King (Walter) of Evanston, Alfred (Elizabeth) of Evanston, Sheila (Allan) of Rockingham, Dennis (Karen) of Evanston and Louis (Louise) of Sussex; and his sister-in-law Karen of Whiteside. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
