He was predeceased by: his brothers, Joe, Marcellin and Peter; his granddaughter Megan; his parents, John David and Lida MacNeil; and his siblings, Clara, Marie, Mona, Beatrice, Stella, Malcolm, Johnny and Artie.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Mary (George), Russell Jr. (Glenda), Colton (Jade), Cody (Brenna), Taylor, Bryanna (Colin), Machara (Beamer), Tyler (Jane), Dylan (Molly), Codey and Kayla (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Tanner, Paisley, Layton and Cooper; and his siblings, Katie, Yvonne (Don), Joan (Gary), Martina (Francis), Jimmy (Darlene) and Larry (Isabel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
