It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Margaret McNamara of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roderick James "RJ" and Jesse Ellen MacDonald (MacMaster); her husband Joseph McNamara; and her siblings, Ronald "Rannie" MacDonald, Donald MacDonald and Marie MacDonald.
She is survived by: her children, Bradley McNamara (Amanda) of Richmond, Virginia and Jody McNamara of Hampton, NB; her grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron McNamara; and her siblings, Leo MacDonald (Irene) of Riverside, NS, Cecilia MacDonald of Sydney, NS and Jeanette Arsenault of St. Peters, NS. She is also survived by her family, especially her kids and grandkids.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home (724 Granville St, Port Hawkesbury, NS B9A2N8). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Patricks Cemetery (1621 Whiteside Rd, Cleveland, NS B0E1J0).
Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
