She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Martell and Joe Jim Martell of L'Ardoise; her sister Jackie Martell; and her in-laws, Peggy, Lloyd Wilkie and Ivan Aitkens.
She is survived by: her husband Trevor; her children, Holly (Paul Cassidy) of Bible Hill, N. S. and Trent (Brooklyn Fotherby) of Neils Harbour, N. S.; her grandson Oliver (Pauline); her siblings, Austin (Margaret), Fraser (Debbie), Angus (Bernadette), Jerry (Cindy), Tommy, Colleen (Mike) and Maureen (Peter); and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Young (Brian), Janet Wilkie, Bobby and Lloyd Wilkie (Lynn). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
