He was predeceased by: his sister Kyla; and his grandparents, Bert, Alice MacIntosh, Dundee, Duncan, Flora MacAskill and Glenora.
He is survived by: his parents, Alice MacAskill and Angus MacAskill (Pauline) of Heatherton; and his sister Sheila MacAskill (Travis Phillips) of Halifax. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, large extended family and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Black River United Church in Shawn's memory.
