He was predeceased by : his father Earl Rafuse; and his brothers, Wayne and Glen Rafuse. He is survived by : his mother Evelyn Rafuse (Morash); his wife Bonnie Panasenko (Wheeler); his sons, Darren Rafuse (FeNina) and Michael Rafuse (Melissa); his stepdaughters, Tamara Panasenko, Virginia and Mia; and his siblings, June Rafuse, Susan Rafuse Reglin B. C. (Walter) and Lester Rafuse Dartmouth (Dorothy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
