With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sheila Mary Kathleen Coolen of Prospect Village, Nova Scotia, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 2, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, David O. Doherty and Marian Doherty (Beck) of Prospect; her husband Weldon J. Coolen; her sister Louise Christian; her sister-in-law Marsha Doherty; and her son-in-law Brent Fraser.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Smith (Michael), Greg Coolen (Kim) of Halifax, Elizabeth Fraser and Marianne Macpherson (Greg) of Halifax; her siblings, Jovita Slaunwhite and Patrick Doherty; her grandchildren, Nicola, Nathaniel (Jien), Alexander Smith, Barry (Theresa Anne), Jamie Coolen (Gary), Adam (Emily), Andrew (Ashley), David Fraser, Matthew Macpherson (Nicole) and Katherine Hicks (Calvin); and her great grandchildren, Weldon, Georgia, Jacqueline Hicks, Abigail and Zachary Coolen.

Memorial donations may be made to the Prospect Cemetery Committee.
