It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gertrude Ann Rigby of River Ryan, Nova Scotia, born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John James and Bridget McMaster (MacEachern); and her siblings, Carl, Daniel (Dan), Peter (Pepi), Emiline (Emmy), John (Junior), Sheila, Christina (Tena), Catherine (Cassie) and Theresa.
She is survived by: her husband James Rigby (Jim); her sons, Darren Rigby (Mike Gardner) of Burnaby, BC and Colin Rigby (Leah) of Fall River, NS.; her grandchildren, Reegan and Lauren Rigby; her sisters, Esther McMaster (New Waterford), Marilyn LeDrew (New Waterford), Loretta Cardoni (Lolly) of Hamilton, ON and Rachel Storey of Hamilton, ON; and also Gertie (Jim). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
