He was predeceased by : his wife Sheila Alma Barrington (Jardine); his mother Theresa Mary Barrington; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence Jardine and Gertrude Hart. He is survived by : his daughters, Dawn Barrington-Hodgson (Dan), Paula Barrington (Tony Deveaux), Heather Barrington (Mark Wallin) and Cindy Barrington-Lewis (Devon); his grandchildren, Hanna Lewis, Coady Lewis, Claire Hodgson, Sarah Hodgson, Alder DeWitte, Cole Parkes, Jean Graham and Celeste Graham; his great grandchild Nodin Graham; his father Charlie Barrington; his brothers, Richard Barrington (Cathy), Donnie Barrington (Julie), Earl Barrington and Blaise Barrington (Shelley); his brothers-in-law, Bob Jardine and Peter Jardine (Brenda Ratushny); his goddaughters, Anne Lovely and Laura Gillis; and his sisters-in-law, Colleen Barrington and Judy Jardine. He is also survived by his daughters, grandchildren, father, brothers, and in-laws.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church (112 N Foord St, New Glasgow, NS B2H5G7).
