He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Amirault and Charlotte Amirault (Muise) of Amirault's Hill; his wife Dora; and his brothers, Bernard and Charles Amirault.
He is survived by: his child Donnie Amirault (Shelley Hurlburt); his brother Dennis Amirault; his siblings-in-law, Charles Pothier (Brenda) and Dale Pothier-Lacroix (Andre); and his stepgrandchildren, Connor and Karlee Melanson. He is also survived by four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald's memory may be made to the Yarmouth Argyle Home Support Services, the VON or Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
