With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Bernadette McPhee (Sambro, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 10, 2025 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Tough and Guida Tough; her mother-in-law Lola McPhee; her former husband Colin Hart; her grandchildren, Caleb and Hope Horton; her godchildren, David Hart and Christina Tough; and her sister Theresa.
She is survived by: her husband James; her children, Suzanne (Daryl), Genine (Stephen), Bill (Jennifer) and Judi (Wade); her grandchildren, Coady (Sarah), Josh, Kayle (Hallie), Zachary, Liam, Madeline and Tony; her great grandchildren, Elsie and Harrison; her children, Chris Schnare and Anna Slaunwhite-Duggan (Glenn); her granddaughter-in-law Jillian Weaver (Donnie Sabine); her friends, Gertie Adams and Patsy Gray; her siblings, Leo (Peggy), George (Shirley), Jean Glover, David (Karen), Mike (Irene), Paul (Marilyn) and Colleen Findley (Phil); her sister-in-law Sandra Tough; her siblings, William, Pat, Mary Darrach and Anna Bosselle; and her in-laws, Marion Tough, Debbie Tough, James Glover, Sherman, Goldie Hart, Ivy and Lewie Henneberry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James United Church (3811 Old Sambro Rd, Sambro, NS B3V1G1).
