He was predeceased by : his former life partner Nora J. Shand. He is survived by : his wife Hazel Shand; his siblings, James Shand (Gloria) and Joan Bolivar (Eldridge); his children, Sandy Shand (Krista) and Alana Nickerson (Michael); his grandchildren, Zachary Shand (Kailey), Kaitlyn Watt (Kegin) and Rylee Townsend; and his stepchildren, Tina Devine (Quincy), Audrey Spinney (Shannon) and Ashley Nickerson (Darragh). He is also survived by nine step-grandchildren; and nine step-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund.
