Frances Locke Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frances Locke (Shelburne, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Wilbur and Helen Jane Jacklyn (Jacklin); her husband Gerald "Ross" Locke; and her sisters, Clara, Jane, Catherine and Eileen.
She is survived by: her son Steven Washington of Winnipeg, MB; her sister Jean MacIntosh (Robert); her sister-in-law Linda Nixon of Kingson, NS; her grandchildren, Jermaine Farmer and Marquella Carvery; and her great grandchildren, Cheyla and Ka'vaeyah Carvery. She is also survived by great-great- granddaughter Avayla Last, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Huskilson's Funeral Home (58 Bulkley St, Shelburne, NS B0T1W0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Parish of Christ Anglican Church (128 Hammond St, Shelburne, NS B0T1W0).
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Northwood Incare Living facility, Bedford, NS.
