He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Stanley Peterson and Vivian Doris Peterson (Enslow); and his siblings, Archibald and Sharon Burrill. He is survived by: his children, Annette Nichols, Kenneth Peterson, Preston Peterson and Paul; his brothers, David (Gladys), James (Marilyn) and Kevin (Janet); and his sister-in-law Sandra. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Kidney Association.
