She was predeceased by: her parents, Nora Augusta (Nickerson) and Lawrence Henry Blades; her siblings, Leslie and Patricia (Patty); her sister-in-law Dorothy; and her former husband Claude Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Robert; her children, Peter (Amanda), Reginald and Diane (Gary); her stepdaughter Kathy (Mike); her grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob; her great grandchildren, Aurora, Orion, Osiris, Harley and William; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Miranda, Destini, Ayla and Skyelar; her siblings, Edsel, Loran, Anthony, Henry and Darlene; and also Dawn.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Parkdale Cemetery (5 Brass Hill Rd, Barrington, NS B0W1E0).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
