He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Brannen and Evelyn Brannen (Fox); his wife Iona Brannen; and his sister Claudia Brown. He is survived by: his daughters, Beatrice Ross (Corey) and Della Brannen; his grandsons, Christopher, Nicholas (Bobbi-Joe) and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Mariah, Shaye-Lynn and Bella; and his brother Herbert Brannen (Vivian). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
